New Market School District #1007

The New Market School district was approved by the Local Improvement District #427 on May 2, 1912. The school was located on the NW corner of NE25-45-15 -W2. The first annual meeting was held at the home of O. R. Warren on May 15, 1912.

The first school district board consisted of Chris Argall, chairman, Moot Fritshaw, secretary along with board members David Hubble, and O. R. Warren.


Some teachers in the 1930’s were Therese Laurie (McGee), Edith Ellis, Mabel Fritshaw (Norum), Vernon Byers.


In the 1950’s some teachers were Bill Hawk, Audrey Reid (Hedman), Miss Lee.
