Evington School opened in the spring of 1927 in a temporary building. As many of the children travelled to school with horses a barn was erected after a few years of operation. A new school was constructed and opened in September of 1935. The school was located on NW11-45-14-W2. It had chemical toilets and an ice house where ice was stored for drinking water. Wood was cut and piled for the furnace. The school closed in 1957.
