The school was called Turo from December 1922 until 1928. It was changed to Megan because the post office was called Megan after the daughter of David Lloyd George (British Prime Minister). The school was located on SE35-47-11-W2. It was opened March, 1929, with Albin Norum as the first teacher. In 1934-35 the Megan School was moved to SE36-47-11-W2.

In 1958, with the closure of the school, the pupils were bussed to Arborfield #4864.
