Barford School District # 4628

Barford School District was formed in July, 1925. The School site was on the S.W. 5-41- 14 W 2nd. The school opened January of 1926 with an enrollment of thirty two students in grades one to nine. The first trustees were John Giles, James Andrews, James Robinson, and W. E. Jamieson.
The Barford school was closed in June of 1961. There were only nine students attending. The last teacher was Minnie Nelson.
