The Allanville School was located on SW 17- 43-13 W2. The land was purchased from J. Furber. The school opened in 1919 and closed in 1964. An addition was built on to the school in 1930.

The school was named after the community. The first teacher was C.K. Smith. The names of other teachers are unavailable. Members of the first school board were Ross Jackson, Donald Finnie, Henry Herrington, and Norman Jackson.

Some interesting facts are that in 1919 a teacher’s salary was $1100.00 per year. In 1931 the teacher’s salary was $500.00 per year. There were more than one hundred seventy applications for the position in 1931.
