Forester School 1908

The Hodson School #1840 was built in 1907/1908 on the southeast corner of S.E. 1/4 28-46-14 W2 at the cross roads. The first pupils were taught in homes until the school was built. The first teacher was Miss Rachel Armstrong. The school was named after a Union Trust Company Agent. The school was 22 feet wide and 41 feet long. With the increased number of school children attending school it was decided to widen the school yard to the west and clearing began in 1927.
