Theme Shoot Entry Guidelines

The theme shoots for the next year are decided at the May club meeting. All entries in theme shoots for the next year must be taken after the May meeting.
2.
Basic editing may be used on the images. This includes:
  - Cropping
- Straightening
- Exposure
- Contrast
- Colour
   
Note: These are done to the entire image.
  These must be adjustments that you did yourself.
   
3.
You may not:

spot-edit your image

use any editing tool to create new image areas, objects or features (vignettes, lens flare or motion) that did not exist in your original image.

add graphics, clip art, or computer rendered images or parts of other images to your entry

add text
-
distort or stretch your image

move a subject from one scene and insert it into a different scene, or have it appear in multiple places within a scene

create new features
-
clone out incidentals like power lines, twigs

apply filters, effects, dodge and burn, or other tools
-
use layers
 
-
combine captures of different scenes

Parkland Photography Club Points System

A.
  Attendance - 5 points per meeting
   
B.
  Club competitions (includes Theme Shoots)
  1st - 5 points   2nd - 4 points   3rd - 3 points   entering - 2 points
   
C.
  Other competitions (Foto Fun, PRPA, etc.)
  Entering - 5 points per entry. In addition, bonus points for being among the winners
  1st - 12 points   2nd - 8 points   3rd - 6 points   HM - 4 points
  PRPA Print Circuit - 5 points per photo entered, no win points
   
D.
  Display of photos on the club display stand - 3 points
   
E.
  Club Slide Show (Seniors, Garden Club, etc) - 2 points per image entered to a maximum of 50
  Showing of club's photo show - 5 points each location with a maximum of two people per showing.
   
F.
  Educational sessions presented at club meetings - 15 points
   
G.
  Membership - for each prospective member brought to a meeting - 2 points
  if that prospect joins PPC - 10 points
